| Purging
From the mussel beds, we transport the mussels by boat to our
cleaning plant in Yerseke for further processing.
On arrival, the mussels are put into special tanks where they continuously
rinsed with fresh water from the Eastern Scheldt (for around 12
hours). This purging process removes any sand and grit from the
mussels. |
